The Original Carboy Cleaner is my ‘go to’ tool for keeping my carboy’s sparkling clean. Before discovering this product I was using the brush but found it a challenge to get the inside of my carboys clean … not so with the carboy cleaner. Fill the carboy about a quarter full with water, add a little PBW and attach the carboy cleaner to my drill and in seconds its all clean. My only critical comment is that sometimes its a little tight getting the pads through the carboy opening. I have found it best to wet the pads first before inserting them. The replaceable felt pads are soft ensuring no scratches.

There is a competitive product of similar design called the Clean Bottle Express. I have no personal experience with this product. While there are positive Amazon reviews and the price is more attractive, it is the solid felt pads of the original carboy cleaner that caused me to spend a couple more dollars. Check them both out and you’ll have to determine for yourself if the cost tradeoff is worth it. My decision was for the original .. it was the pads that sold me!
