FastRack for Drying & Storing Wine Bottles – More Convenient than Bottle Trees
I’ve tried bottle trees and I’ve tried FastRack and I have to say FastRack is the winner when it comes to drying wine bottles. It’s compact, easy to store and made of food grade HDPE. These racks and trays take up minimal space and can be stacked up to 10-high for compact storage. I find best to just have a couple on hand for washing & sanitizing bottles. I use cardboard wine boxes to store the clean bottles. The FastRack is perferred as the inside of bottles do not make contact with the racks, unlike tree’s, ensuring sanitary drying conditions.
A couple considerations when you purchase your FastRack … be aware that the manufacturer also makes a drying rack for beer bottles. You will want to make sure you are getting the FastRack 12 bottle designed for wine bottles. The 24 bottle rack seems to work for 375ml wine bottles but will not work for 750ml bottles. Also, you can purchase a tray/rack combination or racks only. If you are planning to stack, you only need the one tray.
Once you pick up a FastRack Drying System, I doubt you’ll ever go back to bottle trees.
